Ashcott Boy has had a good season, winning three times. But he looked to be in the handicapper's grip last time at Southwell behind stablemate John's Luck. STORMING STRUMPET got off the mark over fences at Musselburgh in January and was close up when falling at Taunton last month. He could make amends here if that hasn't affected confidence. Catterick runner-up Oficial Ben is a likely improver and makes more appeal than Bobble Boru and Old Pride, who have a bit to prove at present.
