In depth

Verdict

A large field goes to post for this handicap hurdle but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Charming Fellow, Bob The Builder, Siyaran, Jolly Boy and Oscar Foxbow and the vote is given to Charming Fellow. The selection has shown enough in three bumpers to suggest he can win a race of this nature he is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and although he is sure to improve for a step up in trip this looks his easiest assignment to date and he is taken to score. Bob The Builder rates the main danger as at least he has experience over hurdles and he was a fair fifth behind Bagan in a much better race last time out, he should be closely monitored in the market. Siyaran is another with hurdling experience who was a fair third behind Jack's Lad last time out. However he looks venerable to unexposed types and for that reason he is opposed. Jolly Boy has the ability to go close but he has been let down by his jumping on his last two starts so can not be put forward with any confidence.Of the remainder Oscar Foxbow is a bumper winner from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but on his last run he has plenty to find with Siyaran and for the winner we return to Charming Fellow.
