Vinmix De Bessy looked held when unseating his rider two out at Lingfield last time but that form prior to his departure still makes Gary Moore's gelding the one to beat and he gets the vote ahead of Walsingham and Jupon Vert. The last mentioned does not win very often but is on a fair mark so has to be respected but he would probably want a softer surface. Jonjo O'Neill's Basic Fact is proving to be hard to win with, while Majorca has been harshly punished by the handicapper for his win at Sedgefield in August. The Evan Williams-trained Walsingham is more than capable of taking a hand here but is another that has been done few favours by the assessor and preference is for the consistent Vinmix De Bessy.
