An ordinary opener where Shanxi Girl looks capable of getting back to winning ways at the main expense of Harry Collins and Festival Flyer. The selection was a fast ground course winner here last month before being stepped up in trip at Wincanton, but falling before we could truly tell if she stays. Her pedigree suggests that she will do, and with some Be My Native in her blood she should also act with cut so she will do for us. Harry Collins has not won since February 2005, but he has run somke very respectable races in defeat. However, a 3lb for not winning last time does not make this any easier. Festival Flyer has gone up 10lb for an eight length win over a similar trip at Wincanton last time and with conditions in his favour he can go very well again, while Ted Moss showed signs of ability last time and if straight enough after a seven month absence he can get involved. Bernard won over further than this at the track a couple of starts back but looks in the handicapper's grip now and preference is for Shanxi Girl.
