Verdict

Hatcher beat Master Work nine lengths over track and trip last month but the runner-up, who made mistakes, is now 7lb better off. Court Royale fell in that race when close up. Dan Skelton’s charge had earlier finished 10 lengths behind Caid Du Lin at Ascot but the latter has since pulled up at the Berkshire course and tends to get well behind in his races. BABY KING came up against a well-treated rival at Aintree and has been left on the same mark. If back to his best, the 10-year-old might be the one to beat given he was successful here in the spring when only a pound lower. Movie Legend is no forlorn hope either.
