      Verdict

      ALCALA ran largely over shorter trips earlier in his career but has won over this course and distance. He’s not run in the summer of 2018 but fitness is rarely an issue for one from his yard and he is entitled to outclass these if anywhere near his best. Bletchley Castle ran well behind the useful Art Mauresque at Cottenham last month and holds Ballynagour on that effort. Magna Sam has also placed between the flags recently but all of the others are returning from an absence with Dieu Vivant another making his debut under Rules.
