Although plenty line up here, most in all reality have little or no chance, and with the best of the exposed horses, Son Of A Gun having to defy a long absence, it could pay to go with one of the newcomers. Into that category fall Fen Gypsy and Red Magic and it is the latter who gets the TEAMtalk vote. Martin Pipe's charge won a maiden at Ascot for Richard Hannon as a two-year-old, for whom he also ran in last year's Jersey Stakes. Since moving to Nicolashayne he has had just two outings, and has not shown his old sparkle. However, a career over hurdles may relight his fuse and with Tony McCoy in the plate he will lack for nothing in the saddle.
