In depth

Verdict

Luneray has improved with each outing this term and, granted further improvement, should be good enough to beat these with the reappearing pair of Dickens and Mounsey Castle looking to be the pick of the remainder in a race lacking strength in depth. But for a bad mistake two out, the selection would have gone close at Cheltenham last time and the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding has an obvious chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. Russian Gigolo gave little cause for optimism on his recent return to action, while Tipsy Mouse may need a couple more outings to put him spot on. The Sister has shown little worthwhile form this term and of more interest may be World Vision, who has shown little so far this season but comes from the Ferdy Murphy stable that has been finding winners aplenty of late. Dickens, a winner at Bangor when last seen, and the reappearing Mounsey Castle both have to be respected but Luneray has done little wrong of late and is taken to gain a deserved success.
