This class F contest should see Excellent Vibes give weight and a beating to his five rivals, the best of whom appears to be Marico. Excellent Vibes is the only one in form at present, having gained back-to-back victories at Worcester and Exeter recently. Those wins came after a couple of seconds, so were not entirely unexpected, and Tom Greenway, stable amateur for Nigel Twiston-Davies, keeps the mount again. That first victory at Worcester was his first for the yard, but there will be more to come, judged by his poise in the plate. The trip and ground are in the five-year-old's favour and it is hard to look elsewhere for the winner. Marico can make a race of it at least, as he has been running into form of late. His claim to fame was finishing eighth behind the likes of Alexander Banquet and Native Upmanship on his bumper debut in Ireland, but despite winning a couple of point-to-points in the past, has failed to progress. However, his latest efforts suggest that he would be the one to capitalise should the selection slip up for some reason and he looks one for forecast backers. For the winner though, it has to be Excellent Vibes to complete a hat-trick.
