Ede'iff commands respect with Mr Guerriero in the plate but we prefer the claims of General Alarm and Super Nomad with the former getting the nod. The selection may have returned a beaten favourite over three miles here last time but, in truth, didn't run too bad a race. The ground was softer than ideal and it was his first run for some time; as long as faster conditions prevail and with that run under his belt, he should take closer order today. Super Nomad had several of today's field behind when winning comfortably here last month. He's entering the veteran stage of his career but led them a merry dance last time and a similar performance should see him have a say in the outcome. Ede'iff is a pretty consistent mare but she doesn't have the best of strike rates and it would be no surprise were she to find at least one too good again. Stoneyford Ben stayed on well over two miles at Leicester and should appreciate this longer trip but this competition looks stiffer. A competitive contest in which we'll side with General Alarm.
