Most of this field can be given a chance on bits and pieces of their form but, equally, most have questions to answer as well. We'll select Storm Of Applause with a caveat about the ground as he does need it to be on the quick side. The selection has gone up by 5lbs for finishing second at Stratford on his first run since December which won't make life easy for a horse that has only managed to win one of his thirteen starts. He's entitled to come on for that promising reappearance and may be able to gain a deserved success. Spring Lover was in the process of running a better race last time whilst blinkers could work the oracle for Self Respect who possesses more than enough raw ability to win this from his current mark. William Butler is in good heart, Rajam will appreciate the drier ground and Fieldsofclover has gone well fresh in the past and knows where the winning line is. Tricky stuff but Storm Of Applause looks fairly solid.
