In depth
Verdict
With none of the exposed animals making any appeal, this can go to one of the newcomers, Sea Captain, with fellow debutantes General Grey and The Bag Man worth a second look. Running in the Queen's colours, Sea Captain would not have to be a world-beater to go in first time, and with Nicky Henderson boasting a sound strike-rate in this sphere, he gets the vote. The dam is a half-sister to useful jumper Easter Ross, and the selection can turn into a nice sort in time. General Grey hails from a top yard as does The Bag Man, while any moves in the market for Oscar Foxbow should definitely be noted. With not enough public information to go on though, only a small interest in Sea Captain is advised
