The Absent Mare made mistakes when a long way behind Cordillera on her hurdling debut at Stratford but has finished second twice on the Polytrack since and may be capable of better. Cordillera has since disappointed at Sedgefield but Spartan King improved on his first effort over timber when second to the promising Hollow Tree at Bangor and makes more appeal than Plumpton third Sinadinou.
