In depth

Verdict

Folie A Deux is becoming increasingly unreliable, while Dark Energy always seems to find at least one too good and Another Kate weakened quickly at Newton Abbot last month. Malibu Sun and Mickmacmagoole also have questions to answer at present, while Not So Sure Dick needs some help from the handicapper. Great Mates is easing towards a decent mark, however, and Kayf Commander got off the mark at Sedgefield last week but the one to beat may be MAURITINO. Much improved when successful at Wincanton and Exeter in April, Jonjo O'Neill's seven-year-old has also been in good form on the Flat this summer and can make a winning return to hurdling.
