In depth

Verdict

Not too many of these catch the eye for betting purposes and it may pay to concentrate on those towards the head of the weights. Ellamine is a consistent sort and is a big threat to all. However, she has only won once outside of selling company and her profile suggests that she may find one too good again today. Caballe has long been a frustrating horse to follow and she has squandered far more chances than she has taken. Her form has taken a turn for the worst of late and she looks to be one to avoid until showing signs of a return to something like her best. Lady Turk is on a fair mark at present but is another who is hard to predict. She cannot be relied upon for win only purposes. There are fewer doubts about Robyn Alexander and she has taken well to British racing since her arrival at Paul Nicholls' yard from Ireland before the start of the season. The better ground should see her in a better light today and she can extend her record to fifty per cent for her new yard. Ede 'Iff and Reverse Swing should at least ensure that the principles know that they have been in a race.
