A difficult race to unravel as a case can be made for most of the runners set to take part. Lygeton Lad has been a revelation over the last seven months and has been raised a whopping 40lb's in the handicap since winning an apprentices' race at Warwick last summer. His attitude can only be commended but he is surely reaching the ceiling of his improvement now. Cuddles is another to consider and is one of a handful of today¿s contenders that have useful course form to their name. However, she may find things happening a little too quickly for her at this trip and others appeal as more solid selections. Jelba fits the profile of a course specialist after emerging victorious from her exploits at Lingfield over the past couple of seasons. But she has a little to find with the likes of Lygeton Lad and rates as an each way selection at best. Sea Storm also has to be feared as a big threat to all after landing a couple of decent prizes here in the last couple of months. But Atlantic Quest makes the most appeal on the grounds of value and just edges a narrow vote today. Mark Johnston's charge may just have needed the run on his latest outing but he was up with the pace for a long way before fading close home. That outing is sure to have sharpened him up for his new campaign and is likely to be more suited to this drop back to a one-mile trip.
