Verdict

Fergal O'Brien's Me And Ben, a Listed winner over 2m5f at Cheltenham in April, was sent to the Galway Festival for a tough handicap and only just failed to hang on behind Aranhill Chief with A Decent Excuse very close up in fourth. Both should go well and it would be no surprise to see them fighting out the finish again. However, DEDOCTORSDAUGHTER can take this as she was very impressive when scoring at Kilbeggan under Brian Crawley whose 5lb claim will aid her cause after an 8lb rise in the weights. Please Talk had nothing to beat when gaining his first success on his 13th start over fences at Galway last week though that could have done his confidence the world of good. Jansboy was making his handicap debut over fences when runner-up to Best Value at Wexford and has the scope to do better so much enter the equation.
