Another poor race for favourites and this looks very competitive. Ruby Walsh has chosen New Kid In Town over stablemate Westerner Lady, though Paul Townend rode the latter to victory on her hurdling debut at Downpatrick. Both will need to step up in this higher grade in which the useful Bridgets Pet reverts to hurdles after a chequered career over fences. Kylecrue won over timber at Sligo on heavy going and makes a quick reappearance after scoring over fences here on Sunday while Catalaunian Fields gained a spectacular all-the-way victory in a Bellewstown maiden over this trip last month, though this is a completely different test. SLYGUFFTOU has been a revelation since tackling this trip in testing conditions and completed a hat-trick with a battling display at Sligo. He's up another 6lb, which makes things more difficult, but there should be more to come and he can complete a four-timer.
