Dermot Weld has won this for the past two years and Mutasharef is a strong representative here. He didn't appreciate the fast ground at Wexford last time after a better effort in softer going at Galway and today's conditions should prove ideal. Smithfield has been gradually improving and was only just caught by Rossvoss at Galway after forcing the pace for much of the way. He'll be a big threat but WAKHAN looks the one to be on. John Oxx' charge hasn't been seen since May when he was beaten at long odds-on by Nantucket Bay on fast ground at Navan. His earlier debut effort behind subsequent Listed winner Zanughan on softer going on the same track points to his obvious chance here and his trainer has been patient with him.
