Verdict

NEWCROSS (NAP) looks another for Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen. He was returning from over a year off and racing on heavy going when just failing to hold on at Roscommon last month and, with that under his belt, will be ready for this. Nannys Well won a maiden at this meeting a year ago though has been looking a few pounds high in handicaps this season but Full Court Press is just 3lb higher than for his victory at Ballinrobe in July. Kandahari will like the going and pops up every now and then so she's respected with her rider's claim a plus.
