In depth

Verdict

Goldwin Magic finished second in a Kilbeggan maiden hurdle in April and finished in the same position back in a bumper at Killarney. Winning pointer Bardenstown Lad made a winning start under Rules at Tipperary but carries a penalty. Something was clearly amiss with BERET ROUGE when she failed to land the odds at Thurles in October. She had looked a nice prospect earlier here and starts with a clean slate after a break. Midnight It Is will surely enjoy a change of luck before much longer but the four-year-old Kilbarry Chloe might require a further step forward.
