Verdict

FORT GEORGE won this last year and has only had two subsequent runs so he should be fully wound up to complete the double. He was just behind one of today's rivals Sebadee at Punchestown last time but had been beaten a long way by him between the flags on his reappearance in March. The winner had a fitness advantage and though expected to get into the frame it's Henry De Bromhead's charge who is taken to land this for a second time. Annacarton was pulled up in that Punchestown race and it's a very long time since he won a race and Cork Citizen looks a bigger threat. He's been in tremendous form between the flags and holds Fence Me In and Gonebeyondrecall on his latest victory at Ballybunion.
