This is quite a tricky affair, with the shortlist containing Looks Could Kill, Langston Boy, Resplendent Nova, Pamir, Swift Oscar and Chief Scout, with the vote going to the last-named. Chief Scout bounced back to form at Newmarket last time and it could well be that he is on a good mark these days. If so, and with a decent draw, he should go well. One of these days it is going to come together for Looks Could Kill, who has yet to race on this surface, although you will probably have built up a small debt following him thus far. Langston Boy has shown enough on this surface from around today's mark to be considered, although he could have been drawn better. Resplendent Nova will appreciate the return to this trip following a fair six-furlong effort last time here and, given that the surface holds no fears, is very much respected. Pamir, though, was also staying on there and the trip should suit him too, and he can go well, although the draw is a concern. Swift Oscar is another that caught the eye running on last time over course and distance, and, from a good draw, has too to be considered. Finally, Go Mo has not followed up his Sandown win, but we wouldn't write him off just yet, and the lightly-raced Casemate is entitled to supporters off his low weight, but, overall, the vote goes to Chief Scout.
