We are going to opt for Thomas Lawrence here ahead of Inescapable, Sylva Royal and Bold Bunny. In a race that lacks strength in depth, there is no doubt that the selection's form stands up well to scrutiny. On his final run last year, he was second to Peak To Creek, who went on to prove himself very smart. Much as the selection was not seen after that, the hope is that he has been given time to mature and, if having grown to his frame, looks set to play a leading part in this contest. Inescapable cots 70,000 euros and is surely better than his debut run might have suggested. Sylva Royal made late headway on her seven-furlong Polytrack debut and looks sure to be involved at the business end today. Kool Acclaim is certainly one to watch out for in the betting but his stablemate Bold Bunny ran with great promise on his debut when third at Doncaster and, with improvement assured, he must surely go well but, for the winner, we return to Thomas Lawrence.
