Lobengula won well last time and is taken to go in again today at the main expense of Rowan Warning and Earl Kraul. The selection only beat Khanjar by a short-head last time but he was eased down considerably in the closing stages and the winning margin could have been much more emphatic. He looks to be one step ahead of the handicapper and he can win again. Rowan Warning has been running well of late but seems to save his best for Kempton and although he has place claims others are preferred. Earl Kraul has been running well of late but this is more competitive than some of his recent assignments and a place looks the best that he can hope for. Play Up Pompey is a hold-up performer so he will need things to drop right but he is another with an obvious chance. However, we are happy to stick with Lobengula who has a progressive profile.
