From a short-listed three in the finale of Little Edward, Quality Street and Mambazo, the selection is Little Edward. HIs second run back following an absence saw Little Edward finish an unlucky-in-running fourth at Sandown last time. There is no doubt that he is well-weighed if anywhere near his best and he can go well today. Fromsong may be marginally high in the weights at present, while Adantino needs to recapture his spring form if he is to trouble the judge. There is no doubt that Teen Ager put up in an improved effort over seven furlongs here last time but the question is will the drop in trip suit today? Quality Street found himself having to race wide at Wolverhampton last time from his revised mark after having landed his third track win here. Having been dropped two pounds for that effort, and holding a better draw today, he is another to give some serious thought to. Finally, Total Impact is struggling to recapture his best form, although first-time blinkers could help the cause, Desert Dreamer has a seven-pounds rise to defy if he is to complete his hat-trick of wins, and Rosein and Mambazo also need slightly improved efforts if they are to land the spoils today. Once again, then, the vote stays with Little Edward.
