Double Ransom is the pick in the finale to beat Miss Peaches, Lucid Dreams and Balerno. Double Ransom has been threatening to score for the past few weeks, and now runs over what could be his best trip on the Polytrack judged on his effort here the time before last. He looked all over the winner that day turning for home but did not find a great deal and had to settle for a place again. Even so, he looked more comfortable than when tried over 10 furlongs either side of that effort and with Kieren Fallon on board, should go close again. Lucid Dreams has topweight to overcome and only scraped home in a slowly-run race here on Thursday, so has more to do, but Miss Peaches, given a patient ride by Kristin Stubbs when scoring here a fortnight ago, will be a danger if delivered with the same late thrust by her young rider. She has improved since finishing second to Balerno earlier so despite being worse off at the weights with that rival, may turn the tables. However, she and the rest still have one to beat in Double Ransom who gets the vote.
