KING'S SALUTE is fancied to follow-up his maiden success at the main expense of Wicked Daze and Evident Pride. Mark Johnston's three year-old scored on debut for this yard having had just the one run for Andre Fabre and there was plenty to like about the performance and this well bred colt promises to make up into a fair sort. Wicked Daze has a remarkably good record on artificial surfaces, including at this venue, and he's not too badly treated on the pick of his form with his able jockey's claim a help. Coeur De Lionne is not without claims on the pick of his efforts and it's interesting that Fallon rides Evident Pride as he has ridden plenty of horses for Ed Dunlop. Brett Johnson's charge has had his confidence boosted by a recent claiming success and is on a decent mark. Chookie Hamilton has done his recent winning at Wolverhampton and is opposable from his revised mark whilst Basalt could find that this test is on the short side but conditions should be ideal for King's Salute.
