WING PLAY may be able to overcome a career high mark and overcome the challenges of Splinter Cell and Bound By Honour. Hughie Morrison's charge isn't the easiest ride but Shane Kelly excels on this type of horse and may be able to nurse him home. He needs to be played late in the day so will need luck in running but this track should play to his strengths and the form of his latest win looks solid. Splinter Cell is unexposed on this surface and the trainer's strike rate at this track over recent seasons is almost one in three whilst the booking of Fallon suggests that they mean business. Bound By Honour finished just behind the horse that had been beaten by the selection at Wolverhampton and the pair look closely matched on a line through Black Eagle. That was his best performance in a short career thus far for the yard and he merits respect. There is a good prize on offer and this is a competitive field as one would hope but Wing Play may have enough up his sleeve to score again.
