Sotik Star can give in-form Peter Makin another winner, with Rainbows Guest, Border Edge and Zabeel House also expected to figure prominently. The combination of Peter Makin and Eddie Ahern proved irresistible here on Saturday, as the duo teamed up to land the first three races on the card, so hopes are high that they can keep the pot boiling with Sotik Star who returns from a two-month break. On his last start over the course-and-distance in September, the son of Elnadin nearly threw his race away by drifting alarmingly across the track, hanging on to beat Nadaawi by a short-head in the end under Jamie Spencer. He is drawn in stall three here, so Eddie Ahern should be able to keep him on the far rail, and granted luck-in-running as they sweep into the straight, he looks capable of adding to his tally. Rainbows Guest will be all the better for her recent return from nearly a year off, but she seemed to fare better on a Fibresand surface as a juvenile, so is passed over. Border Edge made a bold bid to try and make all before being swamped at Kempton at the weekend, while Zabeel House has shaped fairly well on his last two starts here. All can play a part, but the one to be on is Sotik Star.
