As is often the case in bumpers, there is not a great deal of form for backers to go on and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Generous Star, who gets the verdict over Brave Bugsy and Chances Go. The last mentioned has run creditably in both starts so far and Brendan Powell's gelding has to be respected. The Ron Hodges-trained Posh Emily has shown signs of ability but probably needs to improve to trouble the judge, while Outlandish is well bred but may be best watched unless the market speaks in his favour. Lord Crewe should improve from his debut spin, while Brave Bugsy showed plenty of promise first time out and has to be considered. The vote though goes to Generous Star, who showed improved form at Huntingdon last time and a reproduction of that effort may suffice.
