      Verdict

      Another competitive handicap to round off the night, with Candle Sahara selected ahead of Fifty and Polar Annie. The pick is Mick Channon's only runner on the card, and the jockey's only ride. She broke her maiden at Yarmouth 10 days ago over this distance with a strong pace setting run, and will probably try similar tactics tonight. Richard Hannon'¿s only horse at the track is Fifty, who finished behind the selection on their previous meeting. She carries top weight but is drawn one, and got a place last time out in a better race at Salisbury a couple of weeks ago. Polar Annie from the Saunders' yard is making her first start since September, and has shown in the past a liking for the all-weather. The long lay-off though may be a concern. So for the lucky last, we¿re going with Candle Sahara.
