Battle of Hastings, Total Gallery and Mrs Kipling make our shortlist here, for a 5 furlong maiden. Michael Bell's two year olds have been going well, but Battle of Hastings will have to overcome being drawn in stall nine. He should have come on for his racecourse debut at Leicester 3 weeks ago. Total Gallery has the advantage of the draw, and at a big price recently was in contention in a similar contest at Windsor. Mrs Kipling was just touched off after running an exceedingly good race last time out over 6 furlongs, so the drop back in trip could help, but that should be countered with a disadvantageous draw. For those who are followers of trends, it should be noted that short priced favourites have won this race for the last five years, but we'll go with Battle of Hastings.
