Verdict

MR FANTOZZI can land the finale at the main expense of Almahaza and Art Value. The selection won at Southwell last year, but he is a scopey type and he ran well in defeat on several occasions. He looks the type who should win plenty of races this year and he can open his account for the season here. Almahaza will have a race fitness edge on our selection and he just did enough to beat Ten Pole Tudor last time. He has an obvious chance of following-up, while Art Value went close at Wolverhampton last month and the yard are very shrewd so a watching brief on the market is advised. Nassar won well last time and he is unpenalised for that success in an apprentice handicap so he has to be respected. Mr Fantozzi has an absence to overcome but stands out as the one to beat.
