Not the strongest of maidens and with Maashair having had plenty of chances we will side with debutante Ifatfirst to come good, with Dorelia and Just Logic also worth a mention. The selection is a son of Grand Lodge and should be suited by this mile on debut. The Tregoning yard are having winners at the moment, and although there aren't lots of the trainers juveniles going in this one is related to winners at this age so a chance is taken on him. Maashair is becoming a nearly horse and was thrashed last time at Ripon. Back on faster ground he should be more comfortable, but he is a risky proposition to be staking the hard earned on. Dorelia improved on her debut with a decent effort at Goodwood last time and is stepped up in trip here, which can elicit another good performance, while Just Logic has not yet showed any real improvement on his January debut over c&d and we would need further evidence before getting involved with him, so preference is for the newcomer Ifatfirst.
