First time blinkers and a plumb draw mean that we will give the nod here to Soubriquet to win it for local trainer Terry Mills, while At The Helm, Bishops Finger and Milk And Sultana can all go well. The selection gets in at the bottom of the weights and strictly on official ratings looks to have a chance. He has gone well enough here in defeat on debut and although out of form over hurdles last time, he has the hoods applied for the first time and from this draw that can galvanise him to greater things. At The Helm is in decent nick, having won a poor seller here last time and races from 3lb higher here. That should not stop her going really well again and she can get closely involved. Bishops Finger gives weight away all around and but does like track and trip and is in good heart, so cannot be written off. Meanwhile, Milk And Sultana finished two and half lengths down on Bishops Finger here in July and on the same terms will struggle to reverse the form, but we will overlook both and take a chance on Soubriquet.
