Verdict
Topweight GLAMOROUS SPIRIT is fancied to land this sprint handicap, with Peak District most interesting in opposition. Trainer Ron Harris has his string in good nick, auguring well for the selection. The four-year-old filly won a claimer over course and distance in December and went very close to winning from today's mark of 85 when last seen out at Kempton. She is a very consistent performer and a repeat of that effort will make her very tough to beat. Peak District carries a first-time tongue strap, and that coupled with a 2lb drop in the weights and the presence of Kieren Fallon on board, suggest that he won't be far away. He has won from a higher mark here in the past. Colorus is in decent form and should be capable of being competitive at these weights, though he would prefer this to be at Southwell, and the same goes for Total Impact, although Conor Dore's gelding is also proven here, even if claimers appear more his thing. Stolt and Even Bolder could also join the challenge for the frame, but Glamorous Spirit can win the race.
