At first glance this appeared to be a very competitive claimer but after further inspection it could turn into a three horse race with Landescent, Decelerate and Compton Eclaire set to battle it out, with the latter just having the edge. The selection and Landescent fought out a terrific finish here a fortnight ago with Compton Eclaire getting up by just a head, at the weights today we should be in for another dramatic climax but Compton Eclaire appears to be the most progressive of the pair and expected to come out on top again. Decelerate landed a similar contest to this back in January and ran with distinction in subsequent races, however fitness has to be taken on trust as he has not seen a racecourse for over six months. If any of the principals under perform Dangerous Beans could be the one to benefit but in what could be a thrilling finish Compton Eclaire should come out ahead.
