Old timer Malapropism comes here in good form, however we will side with handicap debutant CHEERS BIG EARS who looks nicely-treated on his fourth to Euston Square earlier this month. The selection races off a mark of 53 this afternoon and this unexposed three-year-old also has a good draw to work from. Although he may have been slightly flattered by the six length distance between himself and Euston Square on his second start, the fact that that rival is rated 85 means that this opening handicap mark may prove to be lenient. Equinity's Folkestone win in August has not really worked out too well, Cullybackey drops back to a more realistic trip, whilst Talamahana's relative consistency means that he deserves plenty of respect in a race of this ilk. Malapropism is not getting any younger however the nine-year-old has been snapping at the heels of some fair rivals recently and although he hasn't won since September 2007, it is unlikely that the 13-time winner has forgotten how to do it. The market may provide some clues here, however without that information we are happy to stick with Cheers Big Ears.
