Steely Dan lines up in top form and can account for Crossways and Anyhow in the finale. Steely Dan has been a regular sight at Lingfield over the winter, and has won three of his last four starts. He is creeping up the handicap and is also stepping up in trip, but is in such fine fettle that he is taken to keep up the good work. Crossways has suddenly found his form but looks a bit high in the weights, and Anyhow might be just as big a danger. He has form over the course and distance, and Classic Role also stays a mile and a half, so can be considered. Grand Wizard returns from a break but may have some scope and is yet another worth a mention, but Steely Dan can have the legs of them all, and can visit the winner's enclosure yet again.
