One of the most closely contested claimers seen for some time and it is with trepidation that we nominate RAVI RIVER to come home in-front of Kirsty's Boy and King's Caprice. The selection looks the pick of the David Evans-trained contenders and ran well in defeat at Wolverhampton last time out. He isn't the best-treated at the weights but he acts well around here and looks ready to win. Dichoh knows his way home here and is considered despite top-weight making his life tough, King's Caprice steps up in trip having paid with the handicapper for a Folkestone win in April, whilst Lady Kent is expected to improve on her last two runs now back over an ideal trip at a track she runs well. Army Of Stars needs a market check as he drops in grade, Hinton Admiral and Straight Face are solid yardsticks for the race, whilst Fazbee needs to prove that seven furlongs here is ideal. Kirsty's Boy ran quite well at Salisbury last time out and is a very strong Lingfield horse, whilst Welsh Artist and the ultra-consistent Craicattack are not taken on lightly. A really open race and a nightmare for punters but the feeling is that Ravi River can prevail.
