Verdict
This is a competitive handicap in which Black Oval, Yamato Pink, Bold Wolf and Cherokee Nation look to have decent claims and the narrow preference is for Yamato Pink. The selection looks to be on the upgrade and she won well when defeating Fayr Firenze in a banded stakes race at Lingfield. This is much tougher but she is still open to plenty of improvement and the suspicion is that there is still plenty more to come. Black Oval found trouble in running behind He's A Rocket at Folkestone last time and with the return to 6 furlongs in his favour he will not be far away at the finish. Bold Wolf was a little disappointing on the AW at Wolverhampton last time but he returns to his optimum trip and with conditions to suit he might be good enough to take a place. Cherokee Nation is the other that catches they eye as he is dropping back significantly in trip, but we are happy to stick with Yamato Pink as our idea of the winner.
