With none of the older horse's either having shown much or totally reliable, this looks set to go to the younger brigade. Lakatoi, who has been none too reliable in the past, is finally tried in blinkers and will have Fallon on her back. A beautifully bred filly she would be worth a small fortune if she could get her head in front, as she is out of an Oaks winner. Former stablemate Trust Rule is out of a mare that won over 12-furlongs and will be much better suited by this step up in trip. He looks sure to go close, but the vote goes to Island Rapture, who looks the type to do better as a three-year-old. She showed plenty of promise in ordinary maidens and wasn't disgraced on her final outing last year in a valuable sales race at Ascot. This step up in trip will suit and she is the one they all have to beat.
