This is a wide open affair in which Smartstarprincess, Sahara Silk, Alizar and Pompey Blue hold solid claims and the narrow vote is given to Smartstarprincess. This filly from the Paul Blockley yard has been in fine form of late and just lost out to Sahara Silk at Southwell last time. There is unlikely to be much between them again this afternoon but Sahara Silk has shown all her best form at Southwell and Smartstarprincess should be capable of turning the tables on a track that clearly suits. Alizar is one of the many dangers as this course and distance winner is in fine heart at present, although the suspicion is that her optimum trip is over 6 furlongs. Pompey Blue has been a little disappointing of late but is capable of running a big race with the drop in trip sure to suit and Keiren Fallon taking over in the plate. Of the rest, Cut And Dried and Easily Averted are not out of this on the pick of their form, but Smartstarprincerss has plenty going for her here and is given the nomination.
