Celtic Gold, COLONEL SHERMAN and Can Can Star make the shortlist here, with Colonel Sherman the selection. Well beaten in bumpers, Celtic Gold scrambled home in a little maiden at Lingfield recently, and seems to have been given a lofty mark for the bare form and is taken on. Can Can Star has won on his last two attempts over the course and distance, and was travelling well until not quite getting home over quarter of a mile further recently. Back at his optimum trip, he can go close. Colonel Sherman is 10lbs higher than when scoring over the course and distance recently. He won without seeing a rival on that occasion and is progressive. Luke Dace has his string in fine form and Colonel Sherman may still be well treated.
