The market will guide but Suite Francaise is on a workable mark and is bred to relish this longer trip; if she fails to come up to expectations then Dance The Star and Brexca appeal as solid alternatives. The selection has the typical profile of a Sir Mark Prescott three year old and is a sister to the yard's smart performer Foreign Affairs amongst others. The yard's strike rate for July is around forty per cent and, although it is a concern that Guillambert has only partnered one winner for the stable this year, it's comforting that she holds multiple entries over the coming days and her trainer is adept at placing his horses. She should handle the surface, will relish this longer trip and it will be disappointing if she can't win from her present mark. Dance The Star ran well on debut to make the frame behind Top Lock and again when winning his maiden from Trawlerman but was below par on his second start at Leicester. The handicapper appears to have given him every chance and he appeals as the one to be with if the market fails to give out the right signals for the selection. Brexca has yet to win but has been consistent in defeat and should be in the mix whilst Wing Play may benefit from the return to racing on polytrack. That comment may also apply to Eventide but she isn't obviously well treated and of more interest is Trawlerman, who makes his handicap bow, and Flash Of Colour who may benefit from having a visor fitted but Suite Francaise is the key horse in this race and gets the vote.
