Hadath is a quirky customer but is given another chance here, with Ockums Razor and Always Esteemed also expected to run well. Brendan Powell's nine-year-old has had fifteen runs since his last success but has gone close on numerous occasions. He was just pipped at Brighton last time over today's trip and has shown plenty of ability here in the past. In fact his last success came here in December 2005 and he can repeat that victory today. Ockum's Razor was outclassed in the Spring Cup here last time but is well in on official ratings this afternoon and he should make his presence felt in this much weaker company. Always Esteemed is from a yard in brilliant form and back on an artificial surface he should be capable of taking a hand in the finish. Recent shock winner Mon Petite Amour may do best of the others, but Hadath is in good heart and looks set to gain an overdue victory.
