    Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott was successful with a three-year-old having a first run in a handicap earlier this week at Newcastle and Harmonica arrives here with similar credentials, although he has shown rather stronger form at two than in the case with many stable inmates who go handicapping. He has obvious claims but Mark Johnston has already produced ILLUSIONAL to get on the scoresheet recently and he is taken to maximise assured fitness and follow up a comfortable Southwell success. Holy Tiber also warrants serious consideration as he ran a series of decent races as a juvenile and wasn't disgraced in one of those big-money Tattersalls auction races when last seen. Carp Kid is consistent but starting to look exposed.
