In depth

Verdict

ESHTIBAAK must have had his problems as he made his debut last April but didn't race again until landing his maiden with the minimum of fuss at Nottingham in October. There should be plenty more to come this year and he's preferred to the admirable Emma's Gift, who beat Daring Indian last month before following up over C&D. She'll take advantage of any chinks in the selection's armour, but Munsarim faces much stiffer competition here than in the claimers he's been winning recently. Colour Guard has been showing good progress at Southwell, though he's 10lb higher on his Polytrack debut, while Almail arrives badly out of sorts.
