      Verdict

      Jake The Snake is clear on official ratings on his first outing since June but he disappointed in similar events last year and has yet to score over 6f. It could pay to take him on with DRAWNFROMTHEPAST, who beat Hinton Admiral for the second time this year when scoring over C&D last time. He has a bit to find on today's terms but makes more appeal than recent Wolverhampton winner Captain Dimitrios and last week's Southwell scorer Strictly Pink. Pharoh Jake looks up against it in this company and is easily dismissed.
